About Me

I am a mental health therapist and I also see myself as a teacher, a coach, and a source of support to those I work with. As we make our way through life we often come up against challenges that we aren’t taught how to handle. Maybe you had effective modeling from a parent or trusted adult along the way and maybe you’ve felt more on your own in figuring out how to handle life’s difficult situations. That’s where I come in.

My philosophy is that all clients I work with are the experts of their own experience and come to me with many strengths. And that even with these strengths and expertise, for many good reasons, they may feel stuck and are in need of support to develop a greater level of satisfaction, contentment, and joy in their lives. I work together with clients to understand their perspective, their history, their personalities, and their guiding values and inner experience. Along the way I partner with them to develop a treatment plan that addresses their presenting concerns. My approach is collaborative and eclectic - I incorporate many therapeutic approaches to identify what may resonate and work best for each person's individual needs. Below are some of the modalities I am trained in and use often.

-Inner Bonding
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
-Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
-Components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) including Trauma Focused CBT
